Yes, it's a mouse

Although currently encased in plastic, soon this little guy will have a new home. It will not be ours.

I did a bit of rearranging downstairs this past weekend. We pushed the couch back, slid other furniture around and lifted the bean bag to a new spot. It wasn't until I stood back to see my progress that I noticed the flattened gray mouse where the bean bag once had been.

I thought it unluckily hid from rowdy children and was bounced and flattened by them instead, but Elton says it must have eaten poison and then just died there (did you know that the poison takes days to kill them?) Either way, I felt it necessary to stop what I was doing and give my carpet and bean bag a good shampoo ... after having my 3 year old remove the mouse with a plastic bag for me. I'm a great mom, aren't I?!
