toddler activity #7: Memory matching game

Memory comes with 36 pairs of matching cards. First I paired them all up and put 12 pairs each in 3 different baggies. Then we took one of those baggies and placed one of each of the pairs in the spots on the red tray.

Next, either lay out all the matches or give one at a time to your child and see if they can find the other one in the tray. Lay it on top.
Wahlah!
This is one way to play with the Memory cards before they know how to do it the right way.

so simple and such a great idea! we have been really working on this with brooklyn. i need to get the original memory game. i think that would help. we have finding nemo memory with all the different characters from the movie. but i think she might understand the original game more! thanks for sharing.
