Whew! We made it safely through the 35+ miles through the rugged terrain of eastern Utah! We were only supposed to go 29, but our leaders failed to recognize that GPS miles don't include the ups and downs, twists, and turns of the trails we were following. Despite the extra footwork, it was a great experience and I think the youth really got something out of it - evenif all they learned was to pull over because their "ma" was sick of running after them with quarter-size blisters on her feet (I feel bad I had to get on them about that. After half our group went the wrong way, they ran back to pass everyone and get to the front. I caught up to them and stopped them 1 handcart short of their goal :)
I'm still a bit nauseous, so I assume baby is fine. My feet are healing. I'm catching up on my sleep. And I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and his Son for having gone. What more can I ask for?!!

I am so glad you made it. I really was worried for you. Can I just say that Sam was so cute while you were away. He is so precious!
You are awesome for going and being such a good sport about it. No doubt that was a huge sacrifice for you!
I'm glad you had a good experience. I wondered how you would do with being sick. I bet it was a really neat experience.

Hey Jen, it's Merilee. I hope you don't mind me reading your blog. You are an inspiration. You're so positive, and you have the right attitude! I don't think I could have gone on Trek being pregnant! It really is an amazing experience to go though.
