Getting busy

Well I'm finally feeling better after I asked Elton for a priesthood blessing and my sweet brother, Dave, helped him. Lately it feels like all I've done is sit and be nauseous! So now I really have to get in gear. I signed up for an apron swap before I knew I was pregnant and the deadline was yesterday, so I worked on the apron and notebook this weekend.

Now I'm just swamped getting ready for our Pioneer Trek at the end of the week. I'm really excited, but nervous. We're meeting at 5:15 am, driving an hour and a half, then getting out and hiking until after dark. At that point we'll have to use our flashlights to put up our tarp "tents", look for our sleeping bags that will be thrown in with the entire stake, make a fire and cook dinner. Oh, then we will have a devotional. I'm imagining we won't even get to bed until close to midnight. I sure hope my pregnant body can handle that! But I guess I really shouldn't worry. Heavenly Father will step in if I have the right attitude :) And for any of you who are worried for me, I'm not going to pull the handcart, so I just have to worry about walking 29 miles in 3 days (a snap after all the strenuous hikes I've been on!....except now it's 3 years and 3 kids later....) It's all good! I'll tell all about it next week :)

I totally forgot you were going on that trek. I think you should hop in the cart and let muscle man Elton pull you on that hike! For real, I pray you will be okay.

That apron turned out really cute! It will be fun to see what you end up with!
I am glad you are feeling better! I hope it stays that way for you, especially on the trail!! Drink lots of water! Like you don't know that, really.
We are counting days until we get Sammy! It is the first conversation when we wake up in the mornings. Hailey said, "it's like getting to see what having a little sister would be like, except Sam is a boy." Man, she needs a baby.

wow I wish I was that talented. Those turned out really cute. I am sorry you are so sick. That is hard when you have a busy boy to watch on top of it. Have tons of fun on your trek and tell elton hi for us.

Cute, benj!! So you make an apron, and then you get an apron?? You'll have to explain the process to me later, I don't get it. But that apron is cute. So I hope you made one that you can keep for yourself!

Good luck on the Trek. I agree with Laur, hop on in that cart and let muscle man Elton carry you. He can do it! If he questions, just tell him that he allready has two people who belive in his strength!

And Mel... I think you should do something about that baby for Hailey! :)

There is a NO RIDING IN CARTS rule imposed by the people who appear to be in charge of all Treks at Deseret Land and Livestock. So I will be using my muscles for something else - probably shivering to stay warm.

I can see why they have the rule - those carts are flimsy.

Jennifer,
Hi! I just wanted to let you know that I recieved your apron today.
It's soooo cute, I love the colors, also love how you used the black ribbon on it, that's too cute. I know I'm gonna enjoy it so much. Thanks so much for all your work you did on it for me. Also the little notebook is too cute!

I had so much fun with this swap, can't wait till the next one.
Thanks again,
